The US crisis effect: London City airport sale
September 30, 2008
Things are getting complex (this from TTG). I’ve previously highlighted this blog from September 22, that shows the relationships between American insurance firm AIG, its potential sale of ILFC (International Lease Finance Corporation) and the impact that could have on airlines’ aircraft orders.
Now London City airport has entered the equation, and should be added to that diagram.
Although the implications on everyday operations are yet to be made clear, it shows how events in the US are really starting to trickle through to the UK travel industry.
British Airways also plans to launch an all-business class carrier from London City next year.
