Follow Travel Trade Gazette on Twitter

This morning I set up a Twitter account for Travel Trade Gazette (the publication I work for). You can find the Twitter page at http://twitter.com/ttglive

The idea, to start off with, is to post each headline from the TTG website to Twitter, using Tiny URLs.

As well as breaking news, there will be features from the website too. So if you’re reading this, please have a look, and if you want to keep up to date with travel news via Twitter, this is the place to do it… just click ‘Follow’. And as I’ve said in a ‘tweet’ – all feedback welcome regarding this new service. Please ‘tweet’ back, or leave a comment at the bottom of this blog post.

A twitter tip for you Matt. Whilst posting links to blog posts is a good idea make sure you (or someone) gets involved in discussions with followers. I use a tool called Twitterfeed.com where you enter your RSS feed and it automatically posts.

It saves a lot of time.

Thanks for the tip Darren. You’re absolutely right. Our RSS feed is currently being tweaked, so for now I’m doing it manually. Twitterfeed is great though, and I use it to post blog updates to my own Twitter. Once the RSS is back up, it will make things easier. Meanwhile, the plan is to definitely get more interactive with followers. I think WTM could prove interesting…
