Ryanair long-haul flights – what role for travel agents?

November 3, 2008

So Ryanair is touting the idea of a new route to the US. It’s not the first time it’s been talked about.

But perhaps if this is to take off, Ryanair should reconsider its stance on allowing screen-scraper websites, and give more credit to travel agents – who ultimately could sell a lot of these seats, and especially in these credit crunch times.

Now, Ryanair has already been slammed for choosing to ban this practice (as TTG reported here) although it may not be able to hold this stance much longer, according to Alex Bainbridge,

Personally spreaking, however, the usual one-hour flight is more than enough. There’s only so much ‘no-frills’ you can take, and seven hours in their company might be pushing it to the limit.

Ryanair long-haul? Heard it before, and no thanks.
