TTG social media round-table – what do you want to know?

August 25, 2009

UPDATED 5.45pm: See pictures from the event here

Later on today, 1pm to be precise, TTG will be holding a round-table debate to look at how the travel industry uses social media.

So what? you may ask… Well, on top of inviting key individuals from the cruise sector (Royal Caribbean), a major travel agent consortium (Advantage), a niche African operator (Somak), PR firms, social media agencies (Fresh Networks and Immediate Future) and other successful travel agents, we’d also like to offer anyone interested in travel reading this post to throw us a question or two, seeing as we have all these minds in the same place at the same time.

It could be that you’re trying to boost your sales with Facebook, network with LinkedIn, use a blog to promote your business, improve destination knowledge with YouTube, want to make your marketing campaign go viral, or simply just need advice on getting started.

Whatever the question, we’ll attempt to answer it during an allocated time slot towards the end of the 90-minute discussion.

To send a question, leave a comment at the end of this post, or email ttgletters@ttglive.com, or via Twitter to @matt_parsons – by 11am today.

In true hi-tech style, we’ll also (attempt to) upload pictures live during the debate, and send out a tweet here or there. So if you want to listen in, tune in to Twitter from 1pm and we’ll see what we can do…

    Sounds interesting Matt.

I’d like to know what managers/stakeholders feel about Social Media Policy creation for team members? (Yes/No/Not sure?) How do they handle employees who leave the company with login information?

    Thanks.
